Our Story

I’m Rachel—an educational consultant, tutor, and special educator with over 13 years of experience working alongside students and families with a wide range of learning needs.

I work most often with children who are bright, capable, and don’t always fit neatly into traditional learning environments—kids who may be high-energy, need more structure, process information differently, or simply require a different approach to thrive.

Peacefully Busy began when I was knee deep in the beginning of my motherhood journey with 3 kids under 3. I knew I wanted to use my educational background to engage my kiddos in meaningful play, and be able to have some “peaceful” moments of quiet every once in a while! From there the idea continued to grow out of my work with families who wanted more than generic advice or cute worksheets (don’t get me wrong, my worksheets will still be cute but in a purposeful way). I couldn’t imagine going back into the classroom full time, and as we moved across the country we chose to homeschool for the flexibility, freedom, and knowing just how individualized education SHOULD be. So why not help others along the way!?

Parents deserve clear, respectful information that helps them understand why something is hard for their child and what supports might actually help. I hated the red tape within the school systems to not be able to provide what was best for my students so they could learn in a way best fit for them.

My approach is professional, transparent, and supportive. I believe parents are capable decision-makers—and my role is to provide evidence-informed guidance, tools, and perspective to help you support your child with confidence.
